I am so proud of my friend, ucumari! She realized a dream this year and went with Polar Bears International to watch the polar bears. Ucumari has a special love for polar bears. Regular visitors will recall her photos of Willie, the polar bear at the zoo. Now.. she has been posting photos of polar bears in the wild! And some really, REALLY great shots, too!! I'd love to post them all.... but this one.. really stands out for me.

Needless to say.. I LOVE ucumari's polar bear shots!! And I hope to one day realize my dream as well... seeing the polar bears AND the aurora!!

The water looks so inviting, yet I know it must be very cold! Much like our weather here. Two weeks of lake effect snow here! And so early in the season, too!

But at Iceberg Lake.. that snow and ice belong. :)

As a dog owner myself (5 at the present)... I can really relate to this photo! How Mike was able to not only catch Bessie in the act.. but get the photo is beyond me! Bessie REALLY wanted that apple pie!!

The pie surrounded with pumpkins and gourds makes it just the image for this time of year!!

Maybe Bessie will be the new Stains!

I am including this You Tube clip for those who may not know about "Stains". In our house, we just call it "counter-cruising".

ucumari has some of the best animal images. Her photos of Willie the Polar Bear are priceless. A must see for everyone.

Of course I LOVE coyotes! And this is one of the finest coyote photos I have run across on Flickr!!

To have been there to capture this coyote as it began to pounce... how joyous! The snow rising from the lift off of the coyote's back legs.. everything is perfect.

I love it! The photo is so perfect. The face is there within the swirled bark of the tree.

I only recently became enamored with jellyfish. There is a wonderful exhibit at the Akron Zoo (Ohio). While frida!!! does not say where this photo was taken, I did see this particular species at the zoo. I know they are also on exhibit at Monterey Bay Aquarium.

This is the first photo I have seen of the geysers at Yellowstone in good weather. There was an amazing photo of frozen geysers in winter. I haven't been a member all that long really, this being my first winter. Yellowstone has so much to offer! This was well photographed!
